PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR STUDENTS who received their first communion or confirmation this past week.  May their faith journey continue and may their love for the Lord grow stronger everyday. First Communicants may wear their Communion attire to the Mass they attend next weekend,  May 5-6, and Fr. Tom will acknowledge them.

SUMMER WEEKEND MASSES AT ST. HEDWIG WILL START NEXT SUNDAY, MAY 6:  There will be NO CHANGE to the Mass times.  The only change will be the switch from St. Joseph to St. Hedwig Church.

OUR LAST HOAGIE SALE TILL FALL WILL BE NEXT WEEKEND, MAY 5-6:  You are welcome to join our wonderful team of volunteers who prepare the hoagies starting at 8am Saturday morning and sell the hoagies at the weekend Masses. Looking for a chance to get out of the house for a few hours?  A chance to do something to make a difference?  This is it! We've lost several of our dedicated volunteers this past year to death or illness, and are in great need of new volunteers, especially for drop-off days June 11 to July 2, to help with receiving, sorting and tagging items.

The hours are short (9-noon  Monday thru Friday and 9-11am weekends.)  You can work a few hours, a few days, or a day or two each week – or whatever suits your schedule.  It's a great opportunity to meet other parishioners and spend some time getting to know them.  And it's a great way to help your parish with a fun and interesting fund-raising tradition!  If you can help any or all days call Debbi Lesko 412-694-6149 or the church office 412-469-0196.

KNITTERS & CROCHETERS:  Our “Stitches of Love” group will be meeting again on Thursday, May 3rd at 10am in HN Church Hall.  We love to see new faces… beginners and practiced knitters and crocheters are welcome.  Give yourself a break and come stitch away the time while you enjoy some fellowship and conversation with others.
