THIS WEEKEND: Fr. Jack “True Story” Nanz will be here this weekend providing Mass coverages while I am away at a Youth Conference for Priests and Youth Ministers at the Youth Center in Kearny, New Jersey of the Diocese of Newark.  Thanks for your help, Jack!!! 

REMEMBER IN PRAYER our CCD Second Graders who will be making their First Communion this coming Saturday, April 28, and the Confirmation Candidates from Christ the Light of the World, St. Joseph, St. Agnes, and Holy Trinity who are celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Mark Parish this Wednesday, April 25.

FIRST COMMUNION:   First Communicants should report at 10:15am.  Practice will be April 27th at 6:00pm.  Students can wear their Communion attire to the Mass they attend the weekend of May 5-6 and Fr. Tom will acknowledge them. 

CONFIRMATION will be celebrated April 25th at 7:00pm and practice is April 22nd at 6:30pm.  Both will be held at the St Eugene site in Liberty Boro of St Mark's parish.  If you have any questions regarding either First Communion or Confirmation, please contact Donna Lew-Buechel at 724 986 2557 or

A GOLF OUTING PLANNING MEETING is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25 at 6:30pm in HN Rectory.  New volunteers needed and welcome. Have some fun and share your talents and ideas for this annual parish event.

SUMMER WEEKEND MASSES AT ST. HEDWIG WILL START MAY 6:  There will be NO CHANGE to the Mass times.  The only change will be the switch from St. Joseph to St. Hedwig Church.

OUR LAST HOAGIE SALE OF THE SEASON WILL BE MAY 5-6.  You are welcome to join our wonderful team of volunteers who prepare the hoagies starting at 8am Saturday morning and sell the hoagies at the weekend Masses. We’ve been selling out so it would be a good idea to get your orders in early, especially if you plan to attend the 11:30am Mass.  Call the office at 412-469-0196.

ELECTION DAY SPAGHETTI  DINNER: Tuesday, May 15 from 12:00 – 6:00pm in Holy Name Hall.  Cost is $9 for adults, $6 for children under 8 years. Includes spaghetti & meatballs, salad, dinner roll and coffee or tea.  A complimentary glass of red or white wine will be offered (adults only, dine in only). For take outs, call 412-466-8960.   50/50 Raffle and Lottery Basket Raffle with Pittsburgh Pirate Game Tickets. 

Volunteers are needed for prep work Monday May 14th 1:00 pm and Tuesday May 15th to work the dinner. If you can give all or some of your day to make this dinner a success, please call Debbi Lesko 412-694-6149 or the church office 412-469-0196.   

SENIOR SPRING FLING SOCIAL & DANCE:  Wednesday, May 9, at McKeesport Palisades.  Doors open at 3pm, dinner at 4pm, dance to the Mikey Dee Band from 5-7pm, drawings & raffles at 7pm.  $10.00 admission includes dinner.  Cash bar available.  For info & tickets call UPMC McKeesport Aging Institute at 412-664-2306. 

#SETHSTRONG 2018 RAFFLE:  Fundraiser for Seth Jacob Budai Memorial Scholarship. Winning number taken from PA Daily Pick 3 Lottery at 7pm, first number drawn Thursday, May 24, 2018.  Donation $15.00. Grand Prize is $10,000.  Scholarships go to two students from Winters Mill High School where Seth taught.  For tickets call Colleen & Paul Budai at 412-469-1216.  

MIFFLIN CLUB FLEA MARKET MAY 6:  8:00am – 2:00pm at Mifflin Social Club, 4025 Irene Street, West Mifflin.   Rent a table and sell your own household items, jewelry, etc.  Indoor or outdoor space with table $25; outdoor space only $20.  For reservations call Judi (412-400-4403) or Jill (412-860-8002).  First come first serve. Concessions will be available. This is a rain or shine event, so if you are outdoors bring your own tent or cover.
