This year’s Pittsburgh Walk to Defeat ALS is on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Point State Park from 8 am to 11:30 am. Thank you to all our awesome volunteers who helped out at the Sign-up Fair. The following is an update from Seth Budai's CaringBridge journal:

“Tomorrow, I begin my battle with my cancer nemesis, again. I will be in for more chemotherapy to try and take care of this recurrence. It is going to be a difficult battle, but one that I know I can overcome.  My PET scan…(showed) multiple spots that were not showing on the MRI or CT scan… Immediately, my mind began to race and I thought about all of the worst-case scenarios.   However, after meeting with my oncologist and seeking a second opinion with a Sarcoma specialist at UPenn in Philly, some hope was restored. We believe that this chemo will stand a chance to be effective and hopefully get me back into remission. I am certain that there may be other treatments or therapies along the way to aid in my battle. But, I'm holding out hope that this chemo will do the trick.  I ask that you send me all of your positive thoughts and prayers. I need as much support as I can get. It worked once for me and I need it to happen again. Thank you for everything over the past year! It looks like I need one more year to kick this thing.”  #SethStrong

We can reach out with prayers, cards and notes to let Seth know he is thought of and that we are supportive and care about him.  This is probably the best medicine:  Seth Budai, 354 Paladium Court, Owings Mills  Md. 21117
