BAPTIZED IN CHRIST

Congratulations to the family of Jocelynn Kaylee Higgins who was baptized into God’s family this past week.

THANK YOU FROM THE FAMILY OF FATHER DENNIS

We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the Christ the Light of the World and St. Joseph Parish Communities, including Father Tom Lewandowski and all the parish staff.   We extend our appreciation to all the people who meant so much to Dennis and helped him over the last two years.  We will always remember the kindness you showed him.  We loved hearing your stories of his compassion, and know he cherished his relationships with all of you.  As Dennis would say:  Peace to all of you.

WHAT YOU DID FOR LOVE

The parishes extend an enormous "thank you" to each and every person, group and organization from our parishes, the Duquesne community, the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the family and friends of Fr. Dennis, who in any way participated in, helped plan, and/or in any way contributed to the warmth, the beauty, the joyousness, the solemnity and the inclusiveness so befitting the final rite of send-off to our beloved Fr. Dennis.  Each of you knows in your heart what you did for love, remembering what Fr. Dennis did for you, for love.

MEMORIAL DONATIONS FOR FATHER DENNIS

Father Dennis often said, "We don’t get to choose what we get in life, so we have to make the best of it.” And make the best of it he did—Father Dennis taught us to live filled with joy and with love no matter what. He continues to inspire us by requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to ALS Research in his memory. You may also write a check made out to and sent to:  ALS ASSOCIATION Western Pennsylvania Chapter, 416 Lincoln Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15209, or  use the forms around the church and drop them in the collection basket.  Write “In Memory of Father Dennis” on your check.  All donations will be counted toward the Team Father Dennis fundraising goal at the 2015 Pittsburgh Walk to Defeat ALS.
