BAPTIZED IN CHRIST

Congratulations to the family of Edward Schlessinger Stevens III, who is baptized this weekend.

REST IN PEACE

Please remember  Andy Dubyak Sr., Edna Gavlik, Gerald Mihalsky & Alexander Findrick, who died and rose to new life with the Lord this week.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU

  • On behalf of Fr. Tom and myself, we would like to thank everyone who was so kind and generous to us during the holidays with your food item gifts, baked goods, monetary gifts, gift cards.  We appreciate everything you have done for us because we know it comes from the heart.
  • To those who initiated the cards with scratch off instant lottery games.  Fr. Dennis has received well over 500 cards with scratch off games.  I think I will be scratching a long time.
  • To the music ministry and choir, who as always provided us with another memorable Advent/Christmas music to touch our hearts.
  • To our maintenance staff: Ray, Joe, Bill & Tom for making the churches beautiful and for following Fr. Dennis’s decorating directions explicitly.

2015 FAMILY CALENDARS

This weekend, we are distributing “Calendars for Families with Children.”  They are provided to us by the Teichart – Gracan Funeral Home.

THANK YOU

Dear Fr. Dennis:  I want to thank you for your truckload of paper goods and food that you recently delivered to Jubilee Soup Kitchen.   Amazing!  I was overwhelmed.  Coming from my home parish St. Joseph and from Christ the Light of the World, this yearly outreach to us is again an important support to me and to our work. That you would continue such a major effort this year is especially meaningful to me.  I know that both you and most folks in the parish are dealing with major crosses.  Your leadership in mobilizing the parish to be so generous on behalf of the poor is inspiring to me.  Your resilient spirit is such an important witness to your parishioners.  I was struck how closely you are walking in the footsteps of Jesus and in the spirit of Pope Francis.  Your resolute spirit is such a powerful witness to me and such a blessing for the Church. Sister Liguori Rossner

To the two friends and parishioner of St. Joseph who responded to the distressing news about the continual drain on parish savings with a parish debt.  I received one check for $5,000.00 and one for $1,000.00.  Thank you!  It will help greatly.  If there are any others from either parish who might want to help their parish in this way, feel free to respond.
