THANK YOU RECEIVED

  • DEAR PARISHIONERS:  On behalf of our director, Sr. Peg O’Neil and all of us at the Intersection, I extend to you our very sincere thanks for your very generous Thanksgiving donations of food and clothing. May God reward you for your goodness shown to God’s poor and needy in McKeesport.  One of the works of Mercy is to feed the hungry but you went above and beyond to help clothe the needy.  Thank you for helping us.   Sr. Dorothy Miller
  • DEAR PARISHIONERS: Thank you so much for your donations of household supplies, paper products, art supplies, books, hand crafted supplies and blankets to Angels Place in Swissvale.  My heart is touched that you continue to think of us every year.  We are blessed to have Christ the Light of the World and St. Joseph Parish as a person who always remembers the families enrolled at our center. This time of the year is filled with great anticipation for our celebrations for the different holidays.  Our environment at Angels Place is built much like a family which makes it so special to incorporate the traditions of all our families into the many festivities.  We are so grateful for the role of your parishes in helping us to uphold the foundations and values that our program is built upon.  Beth Banas, Executive Director

HOLIDAY RAFFLE

We hope that everyone will participate.  The raffle will run from Dec. 25 thru Jan. 25, 2015 with a $100.00 a day winner based on the evening PA lottery except Christmas Day and New Years Day which has a $200.00 winner.  These fundraisers are vital and important to keeping our parishes alive and well.  If you could buy/sell a few extras, we would appreciate it.  Call the rectory or put a note in your stub returns on how many you would like, we’ll send them to you and you return the stubs. All tickets must be in by December 24 or through the Christmas Collection.
