Thanksgiving Mass: One of our favorite Masses! Don’t miss this spiritual and meaningful celebration in Holy Name Church – 10:00 am Thanksgiving morning.
Thanksgiving Reachout: You can make a monetary donation to help a needy family for Thanksgiving. Drop the donation in the collection or mail to the rectory. Mark the envelope “reachout.” Another easy way to participate is by donating some “Food Store Gift Cards.” Drop them in the collection or mail to the rectory.
Cans of Coins: Start saving your coins/change for our traditional “coin offering” at our Thanksgiving Liturgy which helps needy families. This is another way to teach your children about charitable giving.
Thanksgiving Breakfast Buffet: will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30 in the Holy Name Hall from 9 am – 1:30 pm and hosted by the Caring Ministry. Menu includes: eggs, bacon, sausage, chipped beef & biscuits, home fries, French toast, rolls, juice. Donation: Adults - $7.00, Children – 12 & under - $4.00 (first child) other family children eat free. Volunteers: we need help that morning. If you can help call Debbie Lesko (412-297-1732) or Terry Fuller (412-466-4223) or firstname.lastname@example.org

SETHSTRONG THANK YOU
Dear Christ the Light of the World and St. Joseph Parishioners: On behalf of Meredith, my wife, and myself, we extend our sincerest thanks for your overwhelming support during my cancer fight. Words cannot express the gratitude that we have for all the prayers and well wishes that we have received during this difficult journey. The number of cards and notes that we have received has been amazing and it has truly helped me keep my strength and maintain a positive attitude.
The outpouring of support continued at the sethstrong benefit that was held to help with my medical expenses. It was a fantastic night filled with prayer, music, and camaraderie. Once again, our parishes came together to support our own. The support is reflected in the number of people at the benefit, the raffles, prizes and food donations. In addition, the volunteers that worked so hard to make the night a success truly outdid themselves. It was a beautiful night and we were happy to be there.
Meredith and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donations. We will never be able to truly express the appreciation we have for the unbelievable support that has been provided for us. It will go a long way in helping me to overcome this disease and become stronger in the end. Sincerely, Seth and Meredith Budai

CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR SALE
Be sure to download the order form for the Holiday gifts (sweatshirts, hoodies, and Christmas ornaments.) Please consider these when doing your Christmas gift list. To guarantee a delivery for Christmas, please have your order in by November 23.
Over the last month, we have had two instances of drivers pulling out of the small parking lot and knocking over the decorative brick wall at the entrance. In both cases, neither driver stopped to inform us or stopped to see if it was a person rather than a wall that was hit. We have an eye witness to both instances. The second is the most troubling because it was after CCD and it was a parent picking up a child. As all parents have been informed, they are to pick up their children in the parking lot next to the CCD Center and not in the lots where parishioners park for Mass. Let us try to be more careful and help keep your children safe.
