FIRST PARISH SHARE PROGRAM REPORT
We would like to update you on the status of the 2011 Parish Share Program. To date, we have received $12,043.00 in outright donations and pledge payments towards our assessed goal of $47,813.00 from 106 givers leaving us a balance of $35,770.00. We are grateful to all those who have participated so far. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: We have received 5 gifts of $1,000.00 or more and 4 gifts of $500.00 or more. Just think! If 35 more people gave a $1,000.00 donation, we would hit our goal or if 70 people gave a $500.00 donation, we would hit our goal. All the monies that would put us past our goal could stay in the parish tax free. However, anything you donate in any amount is appreciated.
GOOD FRIDAY FISH FRY
Christ the Light of the World Parish will have a Fish Fry on Friday, April 22 in the Holy Name Hall from 11 am – 6 pm. We will be closed from 12 noon til 1 pm for religious services. The menu includes fried and baked fish sandwiches and dinners, haluski, pierogies, shrimp, onion rings, macaroni & cheese. Baked goods will be available as well as takeouts (412-466-8960.)
We have need of servers to help at the Good Friday Fish Fry and help to clean up that evening or Saturday morning. If you can donate a few hours, it would be greatly appreciated. This event helps the parish, so if you can help, call Larry Lesko (412-849-6456) or the rectory.

NEWS FROM OUR ADOPTED TROOPS
John: I would like to first apologize for sending this letter of appreciation so late after receiving your package. Second, I would like to say thank you for the package. It is such a morale booster to receive mail. I shared the package with the other females here with us. We all greatly appreciate it. I see you’re a Steelers fan. I am as well. It is a shame we did not win the Super Bowl this year. That would have been a great victory. I woke up early so I could watch the second half. We’re 10.5 hours ahead of the east coast.
