We would ask that you bring something special to you as a remembrance.  The Men’s Club will be hosting a light reception afterwards.

ST. HEDWIG FURNACE REPLACEMENT UPDATE

The work on the furnace continues methodically and in a timely manner.  However, several of the parts that needed to be ordered and shipped to us have not arrived.  Until we get the furnace up and running, we will have the 8:30 am Sunday Mass and the Thursday, 12 noon Mass in Holy Name Church.

ELECTION DAY DINNER

CLW Parish is hosting a lunch/dinner on Election Day, November 8th from 11 am – 6 pm in the Holy Name Hall.  Menu includes:  Spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, coffee.  Donation: Adults $7.00 and Children (12 & under) $5.00.  Baked Goods and Take out orders are available.

  • Volunteers:  if anyone would like to volunteer to serve and work a few hours, call and leave your name at the rectory. We can always use more help.
  • Sauce for Sale:  During our dinners, we always have some guests asking to purchase sauce to take home.  We are making this request possible.  We will be selling the homemade sauce for $5.00 a quart.  Just come to the hall to pick it up even if you are not staying for dinner on election day.  Feel free to stay and have dinner also.

MEN'S SPIRITUAL FOCUS GROUP

This group has been meeting monthly for one year now. It  continues to meet the need of providing an environment and a voice for men to gather together to share a common bond of spirituality in relation to their personal life, and the issues they face as men, husbands, friends, workers, and brothers.  It has been an opportunity to deepen their faith and discover a fresh relationship with God, and overcome the fears and anxieties that often can paralyze men as they search for inner peace.  All men are invited to come join this group.  We meet the 2nd Thursday of every month from 6:30 – 8:30 pm in the HN church hall. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, November 10, 6:30 pm.

REFRIGERATOR NEEDED

Over the past few weeks, the 2 refrigerators in St. Hedwig hall have died.  The institutional one would cost $1,600.00 to fix.  Since we need refrigerators for guests who rent the hall, I decided that we would go with 2 home size refrigerators. One we took from the rectory and we are in need of another.  If anyone is replacing appliances in their home and would like to donate the old one or would like to purchase a “scratch and dent” refrigerator, give Fr. Dennis a call.
