ALL SOULS REMEMBRANCES

“Books of Remembrance”: - Beginning next Sunday, October 16, we will be putting out the “Memorial Books” for you to write the names of all of your deceased loved ones who have died and who you would like to have remembered in a special way during our All Souls Celebration on Sunday, October 30.

“Masses of Remembrance”: Next Sunday, October 30, there will be a special remembrance at all three morning Masses of all those who were buried from that particular church since the last All Souls Remembrance, 2010.  Invitations have been sent to one family member of those to be remembered and are asked to notify your other family members and friends.

HOAGIE SALE

We would like to remind everyone that our next hoagie sale will be next weekend of Oct. 29/30.  This has been a great fundraiser for the parish.

  • Volunteers:  We would like to increase our volunteer pool because more help is always better. Making the hoagies is a fun and social event, an opportunity to meet nice people who care about their parish.  It usually takes about 3 hours to finish the job.  If you can give that amount of time, or an hour or two, just come down to Holy Name Hall at 8:00 am on Saturday, October 29.
  • Sellers:  We would like to continue to expand our services and product. If anyone would like to sell to those at work, the office, or at school where you may teach, please do so.  Just take their orders and let us know how many you need and we will get them ready for you.  You can even take them to work on Monday.  They are still fresh and delicious.

WALK LIVE CLASSES

Classes will resume on November 2ndJoin us Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 – 9:30 am in the lower level of St. Joseph Rectory.  We walk 2 miles indoors to lively music.  Wear your fitness shoes and comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water to help stay hydrated. For information, call Cheryl (412-466-1304.) All are welcome.

OCTOBER - ROSARY MONTH

Parishioners are invited to pray the rosary at the 8:30 am Mass during the month of October.  There will be special intentions that we pray for - (October 23 – For the sick and dying.)  We would ask that out of respect for those praying, for those who are always socializing loudly before Mass refrain from doing so.
