A HEARTWARMING 2 FOR 1 STORY

A young boy named Jack, realized that we are having the “2-for-1 Challenge” for our parish and held a raffle in his school for this purpose.   He handed me $25.00 in dollars and change to be donated. What a great lesson for all of us.  Thanks also to everyone who is continuing to help make this challenge so successful and give us the ability to keep our aging buildings in such good shape.

REGIFTING FOR GOOD CAUSES

We would like to ask anyone who receives any gift cards that they would not necessarily use or some gifts to consider donating them for the benefit of 2 of our yearly fundraisers, the Joint Parish Golf Outing and the Breast Cancer Benefit Awareness Benefit.  The proceeds from these 2 events go to good causes.  Sometimes, you may not use the gifts or gift cards and they can be put to great use in specialty baskets, etc.  If you would like to donate them, just drop them off at the rectory or mail in the gift cards to us.

MEN'S SPIRITUAL FOCUS GROUP

The next monthly meeting of the Men’s Spiritual Focus Group will be held on Thursday, January 13th, at 6:30 pm in the Holy Name Hall.   We are always open to having men 18 years old and over to become part of the enriching spiritual journey that we are making.  So many men who have participated have already experienced a difference in their personal outlook, also an improvement in their relationship and have come to a deeper appreciation of their Catholic faith.

AUTOMOBILE FOR SALE

Fr. Robert Franco, a friend and classmate of Fr. Dennis died in August.  Fr. Dennis has the responsibility of selling his automobile.  It is a 2007 Black Chrysler Sebring Touring Model with 24,000 miles.  He is selling it for the blue book   value.  Anyone interested, give Fr. Dennis a call and he can show it to you.

THANK YOU RECEIVED

Dear Fr. Dennis:  Thank you so much for the many, many brown bags of items which were filled and donated to Angel’s Place.  The bags just kept coming and we are in awe that so much was generously given.  The people of your parishes certainly understand the meaning of giving, and we don’t know how to put into words how very grateful we are for their kindness and thoughtfulness.................
Beth Banas, Senior Program Director, Angel’s Place
