SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION

We will celebrate this sacrament is a guilt-free, non-judgmental way after all the Masses next weekend December 11 & 12.  Our friend, Fr. Ed Stafford will join us to help hear confessions.

FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

This feast day is on Wednesday, December 8th.  Catholics should attend Mass on that day.  The Mass schedule for our parishes is:  12 noon (Holy Name) and 6 pm (St. Joseph.)

CELEBRATING THE SEASON OF ADVENT

  • Memorial Christmas Flowers:  Use your “Christmas flower” envelope to make a donation in memory of a deceased family member, friend or loved one. Write down their names.  Drop in the collection or mail to the rectory until Christmas. A memorial listing will be published after the season. 
  • Christmas Wafers (Oplatki):  These wafers will be available at Holy Name Rectory, Monday thru Friday (9 am – 5 pm) and from the ushers at the weekend Masses at Holy Name and St. Hedwig.

MEN'S SPIRITUAL FOCUS GROUP

The next meeting of this group will be held on Thursday, December 9   beginning at 6:30 in the Holy Name Hall.   There continues to be lots of interest in this group.  We had 5 new members come last time.  The session lasts no more than 2 hours. This group has been a spiritual uplift for those attending, making a dramatic effect in their lives and the lives of the people with whom they come in contact each week.

HOAGIE MAKING EVENT & SALE

Our next monthly Homemade Hoagie Making Event and Sale is next weekend, December 11 & 12 after all the weekend Masses.  It is being called, “Christmas Shoppers Hoagie Sale.”  For those of you with hectic lives, you can buy hoagies for lunch or dinner and then do your Christmas Shopping.  They are selling for $5.00 each.  We have had lots of great feedback on the size, quality and quantity of our product.  Hoagie Making - We will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, December 11.  If you haven’t volunteered before, it is a great event.  We need lots of help.  It takes about 3 hours of time to make our hoagies.

CHRISTIAN MOTHERS

Will meet on Tuesday, December 14th beginning with the rosary at 11:45, Mass at noon followed by the meeting in the Holy Name Hall.  Wear your Christmas glitter.  Bring a nonperishable food item for the Intersection and $5.00 for the Christmas Gift exchange.  No meetings in January, February, March.

STOCKING STUFFER HOLIDAY RAFFLE

Our annual “Holiday Raffle” is in full swing.  Each ticket for a donation of $10.00 gives you 30 chances to win $100.00 each day during the month of December 25, 2010 to January 25, 2011.  Your participation:   Buy the tickets that are sent.  If not, return them so we can give them to those participating.

A CHRISTMAS CD

Ray Judy and Debbie Walters are making their Christmas CD available again this year.  It is entitled “Heavenly to Earth.” You may pick them up at Holy Name or St. Joseph rectory for a $15.00 donation.  OR call and leave your name and you can pick them up at Mass on the weekend.

  • Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) – St. Joseph (4:00 pm), Holy Name (6:00 pm), Holy Name (9:00 pm)
  • Christmas Day (Dec. 25) – St. Hedwig (8:30 am), St. Joseph (10:00 am)
  • NO 11:30 am Mass on Christmas Day
  • NO 5:00 pm Mass on Saturday evening Christmas Day. 
  • ONLY 2 Masses on Sunday, December 26 – St. Joseph (10:00 am) & Holy Name (11:30 am)
