Letter from Bishop David Zubik

Dear Fr. Lewandowski,

Due to the illness of Fr. Joseph Grosko and the needs of the faithful of Holy Trinity Parish, West Mifflin, I am pleased to appoint you Administrator (Pro-Tem) of Holy Trinity Parish, West Mifflin.  In this capacity, you will have the particular responsibility of offering pastoral and administrative assistance to Father Grosko, who remains as Administrator.  This assignment becomes effective Monday, July 11, 2016.  You will continue to serve as Pastor of Christ the Light of the World Parish and St. Joseph Parish both in Duquesne, as well as part-time chaplain at Serra Catholic High School.

Most Reverend David A. Zubik, Bishop of Pittsburgh

As I have been back home in Duquesne where things all began for me as a Priest, I have always felt in my heart your loving care and support. Together, as we are in love with God and with each other, may we continue to be open to the Holy Spirit in our hearts, as we always have been, so that we can make another transition together, and assist another parish that is experiencing the very same thing that we have just been through losing a Brother Priest who has been leading a Parish for so long.  Let us pray for each other and care for one another in the name of God’s Love.
