We have more conveniences, but less time…We have more degrees, but less common sense…we’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life…we have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values…we talk too much, love too seldom and hate too often…we’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but we have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor…these are the times of fancier homes, but broken homes…we have more knowledge, but less good judgment… we’ve conquered outer space, but not inner space.
How was your time used during this season of Lent? Did you develop a life that is filled with Love of God, Neighbor, Self? Have you immersed yourself into God’s beauty and glory that is within you and around you, so that you place the highest value on all people around you and creation? Have you become more hospitable, welcoming, and less judgmental of others and yourself? Have you conquered the brokenness of your inner space in order to be made whole once again by God’s love? Are you ready to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation today?
