As Monday, September 14 came and went, it was one year ago that day that I “came home” to the Diocese of Duquesne in order to serve the people who formed me to be a priest and to once again be a part of the seminary of the Bishop of Duquesne Father Dennis, undergoing his special mentoring as a co-worker. Sooooooooo much has happened in the past year and we have all shared a lot of joys and shared sorrows. Through Fr. Dennis, we have all experienced what Holy Week is all about. I think that we all know and shared in the meaning of the cross and the meaning of resurrection. The cross and resurrection is what being a disciple of Jesus is all about, and this is what we live and share daily as we are connected in a special loving relationship called a “faith family.” May we continue to live as resurrection people being lead from above with Fr. “D” who is truly Easter himself. May the great labors of Love that have begun over the past 32 years continue in each of us for another 32 and longer. Since I became Pastor, I want each of you to know that I consider you to be my co-workers in Discipleship. Truly…what awesome “person gifts” in Jesus you are!!!!! I say, with a joyful and blessed heart, “AMEN” to each of you. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
