Holy Week is Almost Here!

Holy Week Begins Next Week:  Can you believe that the Season of Lent will be over next weekend, Palm Sunday and we will begin the Season of Holy Week.  Let’s plan on making this the holiest week of our year by participating in all of the Holy Week Celebrations.

Holy Thursday:  we will begin at 7:00 pm in Holy Name Church. There will be the offering of coins for the poor and needy. Procession:  Our annual outdoor procession will take place at the end of Mass as we take the Eucharist to St. Hedwig Church for adoration.  Bring a candle in an upside down plastic bottle to carry in our prayerful candlelight procession.  For those who have trouble walking, meet us up at St. Hedwig for the closing ceremony.  This ritual is a meaningful experience for you, your children and grandchildren.  St. Hedwig will remain open until 9:30 pm.

Good Friday:  Stations of the Cross will be prayed at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Church.  At 12:00 noon, in Holy Name Church, we will celebrate the Liturgy of the Word, Veneration of the Cross and Communion.  A collection will be taken up for the Holy Land.  Good Friday is a day of fast and abstinence.

Blessing of Easter foods – will take place Saturday, April 23 at 12 noon in St. Hedwig Church

Easter Vigil:  5:00 pm [HN] Church.  Easter Sunday:   8:30 am [SH] Church, 10:00 am [SJ] Church, 11:30 am [HN] Church.  The Easter Candle and New Water will be blest at the 8:30 am and 10:00 Masses.
