God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do…Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now….Growing old beats the alternative, dying young…..Your children only get one childhood….All that truly matters in the end is that you loved…Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere…If we all threw our problems on a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back….Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need….The best is yet to come…No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up…Yield…Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift….Friends are the family we choose for ourselves….written by 90 yr old. Love That Beckons
Our theme for the seasons of Advent and Christmas is “Love that Beckons.” We are being drawn to that place where love truly exists and where we can find the inner peace that this special season of celebration and memories offers to us. Love is beckoning, calling, inviting us to the crib, to the manger for the opportunity to find Christ in our hearts and in our lives. May we answer that call by opening our hearts and letting go of those things that continue to hold us back from experiencing the true meaning of this season.
- Share the Spirit of the Season: We are asking everyone to share that spirit with all of our parishioners in nursing homes, personal care homes, assisted living facilities and the home-centered elderly by sending them a note or card. You can reachout to one or all, those you know or don’t know. Love beckons us not to forget them!! Download the 2010 Advent Reachout List
- HOO! HOO! HOO! (Helping Our Own): With so many of our parishioners being laid off from their jobs this year, we thought it is time to Help Our Own. If you know of someone who has lost their job, let Fr. Dennis know. We are asking our parishioners to make a monetary donation, mail to the rectory or drop in the collection. Mark the envelope (Helping Our Own.) The contributions will purchase gift cards and be sent to our parishioners who have been laid off or lost their job.
