remember me as loving you
Fr. Dennis spent 31 years of his life serving the churches of Duquesne, and wanted to be buried in Duquesne where he would be laid to rest among “his people”. He wanted this place to be a place of peace, a place of prayer.
In celebration of the first anniversary of Fr. Dennis Colamarino’s death, Christ the Light of the World and St. Joseph Parishes are in the process of bringing Father Dennis’s burial site request to reality. This fulfillment of a dedicated priest’s wishes is now taking form as a beautiful retreat setting at his grave site in Holy Name Cemetery.
The design for the site includes a granite ledger memorial marking Father Dennis’s grave, a statue of the welcoming Christ which Fr. Dennis himself selected, and personalized engraved pavers to define the space and create a place of serenity where cherished memories of our loved ones can reside. Several benches will provide a resting place for visitors to spend time in meditation and prayer.
Your purchase of a personalized paver will not only honor Father Dennis, but will create a permanent memorial to the legacy of the honoree named on your engraved paver.
you are invited to participate
Fr. Dennis’s final resting place will be given new life as a garden, a quiet place, where “his people” can come to remember him, to remember their loved ones, and to be renewed in spirit.
Construction, landscaping and maintenance of the garden will be funded by individuals purchasing customized engraved brick pavers which will line the garden entrance. This is an especially beautiful way to memorialize those whom we have loved and who have passed on before us.
Pavers are available in 8” x 8” and 4” x 4” sizes. They may be engraved with your name or the name of your business, family, friend, or in memory of a loved one, or to honor someone on the occasion of a wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation, or other life milestone.
